Funeral hymns; too much choice?

Choosing hymns for a funeral can be quite tricky if you don't attend church regularly, and according to statistics from the Church of England, that includes most of us these days.

Only 1.1 million people in the UK attend a CofE church each week, while 69% of the UK population would say that they are Christians.

So it comes as no surprise that many people organising funerals don't have experience of singing hymns apart from the odd wedding or school concert.
